But seriously, this common belief of "nice guys finishing last" is... well, not really from "nice guys" at all.
My way of thinking it is that, NGs (nice guys) start the race late (or everyone else has a headstart, same shizzle).
They're too busy trying to do the right thing, which is putting others ahead of themselves.
Things such as proper manners (please and thank yous), holding the door for someone, letting others have your seat on the bus, etc etc, are what NGs are concerned about.
Essentially, its the little things in life that NGs view as important.
Shit happens, and when they do, people tank it. Only those unwilling to accept the facts will complain, leading to the "nice guys finish last" belief.
